I’m Scott Davenport, also known as Scott the Home Loan Guy! I’m a mortgage broker who loves helping people easily navigate the home loan process—whether you’re buying your first home, refinancing, or tapping into your home’s equity.

After getting married and buying my first home, I got into the mortgage industry. The whole process fascinated me, from crunching the numbers to finding the best solutions for tricky situations. I’ve always loved solving problems and using math in a way that makes life more sense, so helping people navigate home loans felt like the perfect fit.

One of the best parts of being a mortgage broker is the freedom to shop around and find the best options for my clients. I pride myself on offering some of the lowest rates and most competitive fees. But more than that, I provide a boutique experience—working one-on-one with each client to create a smooth, stress-free process. When you work with me, you’re not just another file on a desk—you get a personal connection to your home loan journey.

One thing that sets me apart is how I communicate with my clients. I incorporate video into my emails, breaking down documents and explaining key details in a conversational way. Instead of just reading through long emails, my clients get clear, easy-to-understand explanations—almost like we’re sitting down together to go over everything. My clients love this approach, and I’ve found it makes a massive difference in helping them feel confident every step of the way.

Above all, I believe in being upfront and honest with my clients. If there’s a better option out there—even if it’s not with me—I’ll tell you. My goal isn’t just to close a loan; it’s to make sure you fully understand your options and feel confident in your decision. There have been times when another offer made more sense for a client, and I still stayed on as a counselor to help them navigate the process. At the end of the day, I want people to know they’re getting the best deal possible, whether it’s through me or not.

When I’m not helping clients with home loans, you can usually find me spending time with my two kids, hitting the golf course when I get the chance, or playing music with my band. We play around town occasionally, and it’s a great creative outlet for me. Whether it’s work, family, or music, I love staying active and connecting with people in different ways.
